• Makin' stuff, namely my props for...
• CONNECTICON!!! Is anyone else going? I'll be there on Saturday cosplaying BLU Spy from Team Fortress 2.
• The Military Museum of Southern New England. I went with my family on an open turret day, which means I got to crawl all over and in a bunch of tanks! It was like a playground for military buffs. Awesome. :3
• My Star Trek t-shirt from Urban Outfitters. It's sold out now. I got it for $10 and I've been wearing it almost constantly.
  
• Going back to school! The anticipation is rising.

'S been a while, hasn't it?

• Blue hair! I has it. There are currently no pictures of it anywhere on the internet yet, but there will be.
• My classes. Especially Art in New York. Every day class meets at a different museum, and the only class requirement is that we keep a meaningful journal of our trips. ♥
• My Moleskine. It's the first one I've ever had (I'm using it for my aforementioned journal) and I love it! I admit, I always thought "what's the big deal? It's just a notebook", but now I understand. So neat; so convenient; so cute.
• Star Trek. Aaaaaaaiiiiieeee! I have been a Trekkie since I was wee. The new movie has reawakened this obsession. Also, this community. It makes me squee.
  
• Meeting people in person that I know on the Internet. (Fun, but always do it in a public, safe setting, children!)
• Browsing sex toys on the Internet.

• New haircut! The last two haircuts I've had were collaborations between me and my aunt, and they're great. Seriously, if you don't mind taking risks, free haircuts are the best. (Pictures of today's adventure is coming!)
  
• My friend Susan. She collects antique hats, and as a going-away present she let me choose one from her collection. The one I got is from the thirties, and yes, you will eventually see pictures.
• Tina, my Pilates instructor. She's the best I've ever had and I'll be hard pressed to find anyone who even compares.
  
• My third home. Ashland, Oregon: I will miss you.
• My aunt and uncle. For putting up with me for 5ish months! I love them so.
  
• The Team Fortress 2 Sniper update! (What do you expect? I'm a geek.)

• New York City! I am totally getting NYC fever. Can't wait to be there, even though I'm getting anxious about the process of moving my life (and all my stuff) back to the East Coast...Positive thoughts, positive thoughts!
• The post-apocalyptic aesthetic. It can mean a number of things, but my favorite examples are those that display a dark, gritty, and possibly creepy type of beauty. See: Falk2021's art; Chadwick Tyler's photography (NSFW); John Harbison's Oboe Concerto; Tank Girl.
• Vitamin Water. It's a permanent vice.
• Left 4 Dead Free Friday! I don't own the game, so I might have a go...or just grief. :P (Care to join? My Steam name is stylishgeek.)
• My hair. Still awesome.
• Good food! There are so many awesome restaurants in Ashland; it makes my head spin.
• Stephen Colbert. He is my huge non-secret crush.

• My aunt, my uncle, and their wonderful friends. Last night we went out to dinner in honor of my and my aunt's birthdays. It was a wonderful time!
• Bad Sex: Micspam and the Art of the Dramatic Reading. A newly created Tumblr where my friend and I record ourselves reading bad sex scenes (mostly from fanfiction). Audio NSFW, and possibly mentally scarring.
• cp_pacman_wtf, the best Team Fortress 2 custom map ever.
• Nice weather! I am eating it up.
• Bursting out in laughter for no particular reason.

• My birthday is in 11 days!
  
• "Long Gone" by Fat City Reprise. The music video is also fabulous; you must check it out.
• Terrible fanfiction that people make into hilarious videos. This is my favorite.
• How much I have changed in the course of a year. I never would have guessed I'd be doing what I am today back then.
• Androgyny. Expect a post on this soon!
  
• New music. Sometimes I get in a rut by listening to the same thing over and over again, so I took some friends' recommendations and found some great new tunes!
• Playful gamers. Some are just too serious, so I really appreciate those who are willing to fool around.
• Meeting people online. It doesn't need to be sketchy or dangerous. I am so grateful for my internet friends.
• Art. Forever and ever.

• Patrick Wolf. New crush much?
• Jeffrey Dean Morgan. I've been watching a lot of stuff with him in it, and let's face it, he is HOT (even though he plays one of my least favorite characters in Watchmen...The Comedian).
• Watchmen. I just saw the movie and LOVED IT. I really need to read it now. (Yes, I'm a bad geek.)
• The future! I am so incredibly psyched about the coming year. First of all, this summer I'm taking classes at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, my favorite place in the world. Then in the fall I get to go back to Oberlin, where I got exactly the room I wanted (on Sci-fi hall!) and get to work on a new major I actually like. Big stuff.

Seems like a short (and 3/4 superficial) list, but the last one is huge to me.

• Letterblox. It's the new game on iminlikewithyou (now renamed to OMGPOP), and it's right up my alley.

• Sexy dreams. I just woke up from one, so perhaps it's a little more on my mind than usual...
• Spinning. Making your own yarn is fun! I highly recommend it.
• My new pants. Like the awesome hat I showed off this week, you shall soon see them in an outfit picture.
• Valve. (The corporation that makes Team Fortress 2, for the uninformed.) I love them so much because they incorporate internet memes into their updates. The recent Scout update includes new voice responses that reference Vince Offer of Shamwow and Slapchop infomercial fame. Way to win my heart! Okay, I'm a huge nerd. But I'm not afraid to say it!
• Not being on the East Coast for that Nor'easter. Hahahah! Suckers!
• Ashland's Chocolate Festival! It starts today! I can't wait to get stuffed with gourmet chocolate!

• Albino! and Oregon Transplant. I went to their awesome concert in Ashland last week. Oregon Transplant totally hyped the crowd, and Albino!? Well, they're just magical.

• Hiking. I recently went on a wonderful hike and took tons of pictures (which are on my Flickr)!
• DIY. I have so many plans and works-in-progress! Don't worry, you'll see them when they're done.

• Kittens! Watch this...and this. Cute! (And hilarious.)
• Scrabble. Tomorrow my aunt and uncle's bridge group is hosting a Scrabble night. I am a total Scrabble master; let's see how I do against a bunch of people who are old enough to be my parents/grandparents! I'm so looking forward to it.
• Getting my resume together. I'd been putting it off, but I did it! Phew.

• Cats. The cat that allows me to reside in her house has finally accepted me as a member of the family. (Her name is Skweegi!)
• Video messaging. Me and my friend Joel have been recording videos on each others' Facebook walls. It really makes me happy.
• My enormous image collection. Just looking through all the pictures on my computer can cheer me up.
• The movie Brideshead Revisited. It's very heavy - lots to think about and a tad depressing - but SO good! I attend a movie discussion group and we just watched it.
  
• Sara Barielles's cover of Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes". Take a listen!
• Writing again. (Outside of blogging, I mean!)

• Good food. My uncle makes every lunch and dinner for me and my aunt, and he's a wonderful cook!
• Supportive people. Kasmeneo left a very positive comment on one of my Flickr photos, and it made my week! He's quite the inspiring person himself.
  
• i'm in like with you. WARNING, this site is highly addictive! It takes classic flash games and puts them all together in a social setting. (P.S. If you join, feel free to friend me. My username is verticaltrout!)
• Pilates. I went with my aunt and uncle to their pilates class and it was wonderful. I've done yoga before, but I have to say now I think I like pilates better!
• This song. Even though it's mainstream (as if that makes a difference).
• Seeing a therapist again.
• Susan. She's the aforementioned absolutely crazy-amazing family friend who always makes me smile. (And her cat is so sweet!)
